Bethany Chaddock assists our Preschool Director in the office and helps in classes as needed. She has a BA in History and Art and an MBA in Non-Profit Management. She has worked as a business manager for many years, but also done childcare through the church since middle school. Bethany lives in Westerville with her husband, Jason, two kids, and a cat and a dog. She loves getting to work at HCP because she values the community of teachers and getting to see their passion to help kids learn and succeed. Outside of work and family, Bethany loves to read, create art, cook and get outside in all the wonderful parks around town.

Kate Evener teaches one of our Pre-K classes. Kate began her career in X-Ray, but soon realized that teaching was in her blood. Her mom was a preschool teacher and Kate has followed in her footsteps. Kate and her husband, Dave, have two children, Frank and Maggie. They have also been foster parents to 4 other children. One thing Kate loves about teaching is seeing a child’s face light up with pride when they accomplish something on their own for the first time. It could be anything from opening their bag of goldfish by themselves to sounding out a new word. For hobbies, Kate loves spending time outside as a family, hiking, boating, snow skiing and she looks forward to travelling again soon!

Kelsey Gaskins teaches our 2.5 year old class. She has a Bachelor of Science from OSU. Kelsey and her husband, Keith, have three grade school children, Carson, Caleb, and Camden and two dogs, Madi and Bessie. One thing that Kelsey loves about teaching is getting to see new things through the kid’s eyes and how each day is a new experience. Outside of work, Kelsey also loves sports – anything at Ohio State and the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Jackie Kneice leads our Bible Curriculum for all classes. She has a Bachelor in Education from Bowling Green State University. Before working at HCP, Jackie taught orthopedically/health disabled children, ran an inner-city children’s ministry, worked with the deaf and home-schooled for 20+ years. Jackie is married to Mr. Carl and has two grown-up kids at home and 4 grandkids. Jacki loves watching kids get excited about learning new things and seeing them grow to love Jesus more and more. For hobbies, Jackie loves camping and hiking, quilting, and reading mystery stories.

Sunny Lange teaches one of our Pre-K classes. She received her education from the North American Montessori Center. Sunny has been a camp counselor, nanny and worked for many years at a Montessori Center in Toledo. She is married to Mike, a transplant coordinator at Ohio State University. They have a son, Cooper, and daughter, Violet, and a sweet Bichon. What Sunny loves most about teaching is that no matter what is going on in the outside world, those kiddos always brighten her day! Sunny loves going to all the metro parks in the area and having game nights.

Addie Marie Lopes teaches both a 3-year old and 4-year old class. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education. Addie has been teaching over 25 years and loves preschool! She is the mother of 6 and grandmother of 2 boys. One of the many things Addie loves about teaching is seeing the relationships that are built between students and teachers and also student to student. In her spare time, Addie loves to read and craft and she coaches cheerleading.

Kyley Meyers teaches our Kindergarten class. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Biblical Studies from Kentucky Christian University and a Master of Arts in Special Education, with a special emphasis on Deaf Education from Eastern Kentucky University. Kelsey is moderately fluent in American Sign Language and love to draw, do modern calligraphy and play with her daughter. She and her husband, Christian, have one daughter, Felicity. They also have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Crosby. One of the things Kyley loves about teaching kindergarten is seeing the lightbulb go off when students figure out that they can read. She loves seeing the growth they make from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.

Jessica O’Donnell teaches our 2.5 year old class and music for all classes. She has a Bachelor of Music Education from Otterbein College. She has also completed a Kids’ Yoga teacher course. Jessica is married to JP and has two children, Olivia and Logan and a dog, Cassie. Something Jessica loves about teaching is watching the children discover how things work or that they can do something. She loves watching them become independent thinkers and doers. Jessica loves all things music and also loves creating by coloring, bracelet making and nail art.

Alli teaches one of our 3 year old classes. She has a Bachelors in Art Education from the University of Kentucky. She has taught art and dance classes at the the YMCA and she has been the guest art teacher for HCP for several years. Alli is married to Mike and they have three kids, Mackie, Luke and Jack. They also have a cat and two dogs. Alli says, “I love working with kids because of their honesty and sweet spirits. No matter what is going on, they always remind me of what truly matters.” When Alli isn’t at school, she loves spending time with her family, painting, dancing and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats.

Ronda Wallace teaches one of our 3-year old classes. She has a Bachelor of Education from OSU. Before working at HCP, Ronda worked with the State Board to open two privately run Preschools and she has served as both an administrator and teacher. Ronda is married to David and they have two adult daughters and two fur babies. Ronda loves seeing the children’s faces light up when they grasp a new topic, idea, or activity and she loves their energy! When she isn’t at school, Ronda loves to be outdoors, planting and caring for flowers, walking, sewing, reading and spending time with friends.

Shelly is one of our Pre-K teachers. She studied special education at Ohio University. Shelly has over 25 years of experience working in the childcare industry, both home and center based, primarily with pre-school aged children. She has been married for 40 years and has two grown daughters who grew up in Westerville and six grandchildren. Shelly loves working at HCP because it is a community of teachers that help children learn, grow, and develop to their greatest potential. She says watching children discover new things brings joy to her heart. Outside of teaching, Shelly spends time with family, baking, crafting and singing.

Ashley teaches one of our Pre-K classes. She graduated from Ohio University and has a teaching license in Pre-K - 3rd grade. Ashley was born and raised in Westerville. She and her husband, Brent, have two daughters, Avery and Parker, and a dog, Brooks. Ashley enjoys downtime with her students and hearing them laugh and talk about their lives. She enjoys watching them grow both physically and mentally. Outside of the classroom, Ashley spends time with family and friends, goes to Orange Theory, enjoys skiing, decorating and cooking.

Maddie teaches in one of our 3-year old classes. She has a BFA from Otterbein University. She has worked as a nanny and face painter for the Columbus Zoo. Maddie recently got married and loves it. She loves getting to know her students, watch them grow and build relationships with them. Outside of school, Maddie is a photographer and shares her work at maddienicolette.photography.
